Title: "Larry L. Hillblom Program Fund for Craniofacial Anomalies in the Northern Mariana and Other Micronesian Islands"

Purpose: 1) to support the advancement of surgical and post-surgical treatment and care of patients with craniofacial anomalies and their families, 2) to support the activities of health care professionals at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry in service to these patients and their families, and 3) to support dentists and physicians from the Northern Mariana and other Micronesian islands participating in advanced training at UCSF Medical Center.

Progress: The first visit to Saipan by UCSF craniofacial team members took place in March of 2003. Hospital privileges in Saipan were arranged. Dr. William Hoffman and Dr. Karin Vargervik examined 28 patients and performed corrective surgery on 9 of the patients.
